 Cacajuate “Peanut”
Peanut, a gray, female burro was captured in Arizona through the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) National Wild Horse and Burro Program. The freezemark tattoo on the left side of her neck identifies her as a captured burro. She is very sweet and never lets the goats out of her sight. In fact, when we purchased our first buck she wouldn’t let him anywhere near the girls. We were beginning to think we had a serious problem and that our herd was as big as it was ever going to be. Thank goodness she let him earn his way in - after letting him know she’s the boss. Peanut is spoiled rotten and loves for me to rub her ears, kiss her nose and massage her gums. My husband calls me the “donkey whisperer”. |
